Minimalist. Grungy. Warm.
This was the vision for Julia’s lifestyle session in Downtown Detroit. She wanted very natural posing and a grungy-yet-modern look for her social media imagery, and we took her ideas from vision board to reality.
We started our session in the heart of Downtown Detroit; exploring Campus Martius and shooting all over Woodward Ave before grabbing a cup of coffee at my favorite Detroit breakfast & brunch spot: Avalon Cafe & Bakery on Woodward. Once we felt refreshed and ready to get back to the shoot, we set out on Michigan Ave for more shots before wrapping on top of a parking garage with a crazy beautiful view overlooking Downtown. It’s funny — I’ve been in this city for nearly a year now, and it never fails to leave me in awe.
