Welcome to VIEWFINDER — an ever-evolving art project that will grow alongside me. I’m channeling that spark of endless energy that comes when all expectations around what art “should be” fall away, and the ideas flow free as river currents, swelling and falling, carrying forth waves of inspiration. That’s what this project is—a glimmering tide pool where the artistic mind can float lazily and watch assumptions drift past like clouds in a cerulean sky.
The title VIEWFINDER pays tribute to the journey back to myself—to seeing clearly again. My last name, Viau, is pronounced like ‘view,’ making this title not just a reflection of my perspective as a photographer, but a reminder of how to find my way home. Through the lens, I return to myself, frame by frame.
